  1. Technology is a tool. As a tool it may be useful or or useless depending on the skill of the user. Technology is potentially transformative, but the process needs to be organic. That is where our peers are help us, because just like our kids we only do what we see.

  4. Twitter is a good way to receive quick responses on different topics of interest in a classroom environment. Students will appreciate the used of familiar technology in the classroom. Classroom participation will increase as a result of using technology such as Twitter in the classroom.

  5. I teach the way that i do because it fits both my style and my students' styles. I establish habits, because as I use a tool more often, it becomes easier and more efficient. I don't have time to keep looking for novel ways to accomplish the same tasks. With all of our noninstructional requirements and expectations, finding new lessons or activities can take a back seat. I LOVE using tech because it makes my life easier. The students love the tech, because they can access my online classroom anytime, anyplace. The site is accessible on their smartphones and user friendly through the wiki app. So the students complete assignments at all hours and always no what's happening, even if they don't make it to school that day.

    1. Very well done, I love that you are utilizing tech to keep the students up-to-date on what's going on in the classroom since there are so many absences from day to day!

  7. Technology can either be the devil's workshop or a great engine for productivity and creativity. Until we have comprehensive guidelines and a framework to maintain and regulate them, technology will be a road-block here instead of an aid.

  8. i love the idea. my problem, as a math teacher, is that this will not be as user friendly for a math class as i would need it to be. i could use this for some theory stuff but as for practice and sharing answers, methods, etc. it would be tough to do.
